Green Tuesday

I purchased a packet of Cat Grass Seeds recently and this is the result of my first attempt at planting them
Tutu : This is NOMMY!
I wasn't surprised that Tutu loved it because she likes to eat raw leafy vegetables
Tutu : Ouch. It's poking my nose!
Cosmo takes a sniff
Tutu : STAY BACK! It's MINE!
Cosmo : They sure are nice and tasty
Meow-Me : Better grab a bite while that bratty Tutu is distracted
Felix isn't quite sure what he thinks of it while Tutu stays guard
Boomer? What's up with that goofy face?
Ling and Coco were not really interested in the cat grass and Felix was not sure what to think of it. Everyone else liked it so looks like I'll be planting a few more pots!

  1. Well guess we need to plant some of that grass Tutu you are the best. Our TwoTwo would have done the same thing. You two are just big brats. Take care and have a great day.

  3. Mum always planted cat grass for (those who came before) but we don't eat it. She wishes we would as it is very good for bringing up hair balls.

  4. Great job, it looks lush and yummy! Nicki likes cat grass, and Derry will eat a bit of it, but prefers the "real" grass in the garden.

  10. did you say they grew from seeds? if they are i'm shocked, but i guess thats just because i come from the desert, lol...we only have sand, cactus, and tumbleweeds. i think yuki and rocket would take a bite out of the grass, since they like to eat anything not their kibble.

  11. Fun! Lucy is the only one here that loves grass but a lot of times it means grassy throw-up later. I love Tutu standing guard. So cute!

I enjoy the picture where Tutu hits Cosmo! She is really jealous wiht the grass!

  22. Tutu seems to really like the cat grass, and he was not being rude, he just wants his friend wait until he finished eating. After all as a kitten can eat as Tutu ...

  24. Hi you can try bring the cats to the field & pick their favorite greens! My cat loves a type of wild 'lalang' with white flower/seed-like, butterfly plant and ''serai' leaves. The first time he eats them, similar to tutu chewing the greens, I thought he has turn vegetarian!

  25. We love nomming on grass but the mom won't give us it anymore because we pull it out of the planter and make a big mess...and then we hork it up after eating it. We don't see what the problem is.

  26. I've just started my own planting too ... hope it turns out as good as yours :-)

All my cats love grass and play "cow" in the garden. It's good for their stomac especially for inside cats.

Is that like the green grass that doggies can eat too? I've heard of doggy grass, so I am assuming they are one and the same.

  39. Mieow,,,, ^..^ Fishiez will not be fed again till their water warmz in da Spring (about 55 to 60 degreez) once they are weened off their food they suck on da algea on da pond wallz ^..^

One ov da reasonz maybe your fishiez died waz cause it takez about 6 weekz for da bio-filter to set up. till den da ammonia level getz furry high and usually killz dem :O

It'z called "New Tank Syndrome", "The Nitrogen Cycle" or "Cycling a Tank" refers to the period in which ammonia (fish waste) and then nitrite levels rise to dangerous quantities before being converted into relatively harmless nitrate. The largest mistake made by new aquarists is to buy a tank, set it up, and three days later put in $300 worth of prize fish. If you haven't "Cycled" your tank, your fish are in for a very hard ride for the next 30 days.

In aquariums ammonia needs to be broken down by beneficial bacteria into nitrite, which is itself broken down by a different group of bacteria into nitrate. In a newly set up aquarium, those bacteria are not present, and it takes time for those bacteria to multiply to the point of being able to keep up with the waste output of the fish.

We had indoor fishiez too..... but it didn't go too well either :\

Den we got Siameze Fighting Fish, they did better :) but da mom said once dey were gone, No More! cauze she haz enough to deal wif! ^..^ ????

    Purrz & Kissez ~ ♥♥xoxo♥♥
