Coco : Why is the sliding door closed? Shutting the windows leading to the catio couldn't keep the haze out so I had to shut the sliding door too |
Boomer : It looks pretty bad out there And it smells awful too! |
Felix : When can we go out again, Mommy? It all depends on the wind direction and if we get rain. It may take weeks to months before this clears up |
Boomer : So what are we supposed to do till then?! Don't worry kids, I'll think of something :) |
Boomer : I'm not happy. Why do people have to resort to burning acres of land just to save some money!? At least we have an indoor home but what about our friends out in the open? |
Tutu : Boomer sounds pretty mad, huh. Think I'll stay upstairs, out of his way |
We just Googled and read a news report--we can't even imagine. What of all those with health conditions like asthma?

ReplyDeleteOh dear, no access to the catio! Though we live quite near, haze at our place is slightly better than at yours. Luckily our MeowYard is inside the house with no windows and only has an extractor fan at one end. Hope swift action will be taken to tackle haze soon. Purrs to all of you.
ReplyDeleteThat is so terrible, we really hope it clears soon for you xx00xxx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
We just saw the news about your smog and it looks awful. The people who started these fires are thoughtless and care nothing for others. We will purr for rain for you - we wish we'd known you needed some because we could have sent our's over to you.

ReplyDeleteMom Linda has personally experienced this condition. As a consultant she used to do some work in Cebu and in Singapore and Malaysia. She was in Cebu when the horrible burning and haze was hitting hardest one year. It is truly pawful and we are so sorry you must endure this. The burning in Indonesia is horrible; be safe, paw pats, Savannah
