Tortie Tutu Thursday

Tutu is now 9.5 weeks old and I took her to the vet for her first vaccination on Wednesday. She had a lot to say about her first vet visit.

This is Dong Dong, the clinic cat who decided he wanted sleep in MY carrier

And I had to sit here instead

Then I came to sit here, minding my own business, calmly waiting for my turn when suddenly....

Eeeep! Get off me! GET OFF ME!

As you can see, I was NOT amused by Dong Dong's ungentlemanly behavior
She was very brave and took the jab very well. She was also given a paste dewormer

GO AWAY! I'm hurting everywhere and it's all your fault.  I hate you!
About 2 hours later, she was very angry, probably because the injection site started to hurt 

Come, let's go to sleep. You'll feel better later
DON'T TOUCH ME!

I put her back in her cage to sleep and she was much happier later that night

She is the first kitty I had who became so angry and aggressive after a vaccination jab so I was a little concerned. But she's back to her normal self today and playing again.

Meow-Me's Conversation With Bernie

Meow-Me : Hi, Bernie! Looking good in that corner...uh, may I take my mousie back?
Bernie : My eyesight isn't like what it used to be. What mousie?

Meow-Me : THIS mousie. See?

Bernie : *snort* No, you may not!

Meow-Me : Jeez. Mommy said to ask Bernie nicely. Look what asking nicely got me
Bernie : *looking smug* Heh heh heh. I'm TOP BUNNY!

Bernie stays with the cats and despite the fact that the cats are supposed to be the "predator", no cat has dared to mess with Bernie, including the boarding cats. All he needs to do is *snort* and they'll back off. He is partially blind from cataracts but is still very feisty and moves around quite comfortably.

Mommy here : For those blogs that require Word Verification, has anyone else noticed that if you type in wrong alphabets, it still accepts it? If the WV is "aerdf jookny", and you type in "aordt joalny", it still publishes the comment. Give it a try and let me know if it's true.  :)

What Would Mommy Think Of Next?

Mommy's parents came over the other day with this monster contraption! Mommy had asked her daddy to help build it as he is very very good with his hands. And he did a wonderful job!  Thank you so much!

There's a gap at the bottom to prevent "accidents" such as a broken tail or paw 

This is to show the size of the trap. It can even capture a few cats at a go

There have been several new strays that Mommy plans to TNR. She says she'll try the trap out next week. Wish her luck! Meanwhile, she can *test* it out on us as many times as she likes as long as there are yummy salmon treats after.  Heeheehee.

Will You Move?

First of all, Mommy wants everyone to know that Meow-Me, Coco, Felix and Boomer didn't do anything bad to end up in jail...she had put Felix under the carrier cover for fun then she noticed everycat laughing at him so she thought, hmm...why not.  We were only under the cover for 2 minutes, just long enough for her to take those embarrassing photos. Yeah, did we tell you our Mommy has a wicked sense of humor?

Whisky : Hey! This bed ain't big enough for the both of us. Move it!

Whisky : Mommy! Ling's in MY bed!

Ling : I'm not moving and there's nothing you can do about it. So there!

Mommy here :  How do you organise your digital photographs? I have thousands and thousands of photographs and it takes a very long time to find what I want / need and by the time I'm done, I need to remove my eyes and soak them in cold water...well, it FEELS that way. Help? Please?
