Happy 2nd Birthday, Tutu!

Tutu : Halo? HALO? Room service, please?
Errr. I'm actually behind you, little baby
Tutu : Well, my eyes haven't open so can you blame me?
Tutu : Waaaaaaa! I don't want scritches. I want milk!
Tutu : This isn't my milk bottle...
* STOMP STOMP STOMP *
Tutu : Stop messing around, will you? Give me my bottle!
Tutu : Milk? Milllkkk, where are you?
* S U L K *
Tutu : The service here stinks and I'm going to give them something that REALLY stinks. Hrummppffffff
Tutu's spine fracture at the age of almost 4 months inspired the building of the CATIO BY GRANDPA. It was to allow the kitties a safe access to the "outside" to get some sun therapy which is important for bone health
Effuryone LOVES the catio!
Tutu : Milk? MILK?
Tutu : I can't believe this. 2 years on and I STILL need to "beg" for my milk
Tutu : I'm a big girl now and I don't drink from milk bottles!
Tutu : Ahhhhh. That's more like it. I love my milk!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY, TUTU!
We love you LOTS!

Cosmo's Hammick

Hi Everyone! It's me, Cosmo. I am rarely on the blog because I can't stand the flashy box but I just had to do this post. You see, I have observed how some of my furriends have this thing called a "hammick" that gets rave reviews. So I asked Mommy to show pictures of it to Grandpa and tell him how I would love to have one of my own.....

Cosmo : It's a little small for a big mancat like me, but it sure is comfy
See how I have to squish my body to fit?
Let me show you the length with my body. It measures from my shoulder to the tip of my paw and a little bit
*Grandpaws loves me
this I know
for he made me a comfy hammick!*
A BIG THANK YOU to Grandpa and Grandma for making this hammick just for me!
I love it!

Wordy Wednesday

Felix : Can you please stop shoving that flashy box in my face?
Felix : I've the best seat in the catio!
Felix : See what I mean?
Grandma made a new hammock and modified it a little to fit in our catio. Then it was a fun family affair in getting it hung up in the catio, with Grandpa taking the lead. It took a whole week for us to sniff and skirt around the hammock but finally, Felix took the first, then second, then third and finally, the fourth big paw step into the hammock last night!

Felix - it really is the best seat in the catio. It's high enough for me to see everything and if something scary comes along, I just have to crouch down and no one can see me. Heh heh.

Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!  :)

We received the ONE SWEET BLOG award from our friends, Mollie and Alfie. It was created by Alfie himself.  :)  If you don't know them yet, you have to visit! They are really FUN!

The criteria is to tell everyone who gave them the award and to pass it on to 5 friends! We've already told you who passed the award to us so now we have to crack our heads to choose 5 friends. It was REALLY tough but here goes :

1.0  Katie Isabella (Boomer's sweet cupcake)
2.0 Hannah and Lucy
2.1 Oui Oui, MMM, Julie and Carl (Twinkle Toes)
3.0 Effuryone at Marg's
3.1 Isabella and Angel (Beaded Tail)
4.0 Goro and Niko
4.1 Lucy, Simba and Annie (Lucy's Lounge)
5.0 Wally, Ernie and Zoey (Island Cats)

How did we do?  ;)

Hammock, Part 2

Thank you to all our furriends for their suggestions after the first attempt at sewing the hammock! Mommy bought a new type of fleece and Grandma got busy then when Grandpa and Grandma came to visit yesterday, they brought us a new hammock!

Are you going to give it a try, Coco?
Coco : Errrrr, I don't think so
Felix : Okay, okay. I will test it out. I sure hope I don't *sink* again...
*sits gingerly*
3...2......1....
Felix : HEY! It didn't sink and it is super comfy!
Meow-Me : Can you see how pretty the trimmings are? Grandma did such a beautiful job!
Felix : LOOK! The both of us can fit in the hammock and it holds up really well!
Boomer : It may be pink but it doesn't faze a confident mancat like me!
Katie darling, I'll bring the hammock when I come visit and we can snuggle.  xoxo
Boomer : Can't wait for Mommy to finish getting my snacks ready so I can fire up the tunnel and visit my girl!
You may kiss my toes while I wait...
Hey. Introoder on our blog! Who are you!?
This is a stray intact tomcat who liked to visit the kitties as they lounged at the catio but it would get Boomer all riled up. I managed to catch him on Wednesday night with the help of my brother who came by to visit. He (the cat, not my brother) was neutered on Thursday and spent a night before being released on Friday afternoon. Here he is just after being released.
Boomer : Spitty, if you look *closely*, you might be able to see something oddly and eerily familiar to your very recent "tutoring" session. MOL.
Thank you Grandma! The hammock is perfect and so well made! We LOVE it! *kiss*

Total Pawsomeness!

Last Saturday, we heard a lot of drilling and hammering and sawing outside our big window. We thought we HEARD Grandpa but we didn't see him. Then on Sunday, we saw Grandpa and Grandma and again, LOTS and LOTS of activities outside. Hmm. What was going on? It was quiet after that....until Wednesday, when there were Grandpa and Grandma again! HEY! What's going on out there!?

Then we were unceremoniously shoved out of the window....

What's this?
Felix : Hey you guys! Is it safe to come out?
The 2 big boys (Cosmo and Boomer) enjoying a little game of whappity paws on the catio
Tutu : That's MY scratch board
Coco : Not when my paw's on it
Tutu : Felix! Why are you messing with my scratch board? You have a death wish or something?
The young lioncat surveys his kingdom
Tutu : Okay okay, you can share my scratch board...now, help me up!
Felix : Hold on to my paw, Tutu. No, NOT with your teeth!
Boomer, a formerly stray cat, give the young ones a lesson of the great outdoors
Lesson 1 : "Okay, kiddies, that buzzing thing you hear? The one that's making Mommy say all those words we aren't allowed to repeat? Well, that's called a FLY and they taste NOMMY!"
Lesson 2 : "You see that house there? That used to be my playground. That was also where I used to find the juiciest roaches which I brought home for Mommy. She must have really loved them since she would scream out with joy!"
Lesson 3 : "I don't miss the outdoors all that much....it's a tough world out there, kiddos"
This is our "catio"...which we all absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
We finally have our very own catio, designed and built by our talented Grandpa (assisted by Mommy and Daddy) and supervised by Grandma! While our indoor cat tree allowed us to look out the window, nothing beats being out in the open. Now that we are aware of the catio, we move in and out through the window on our own. And as you can probably tell, Tutu is completely at home in the catio.  :)

We want to give a loud MEW OUT to our Grandpawrents (Mommy's parents). You are the very VERY BEST! Thank you so much for building us the catio. We LOVE it (and we LOVE YOU too)!
