Monday Merriment

Our furriend, Kjelle Bus had asked for guesses the song his Mom was thinking for a picture he posted. Our guess wasn't the winning song but she thought our guess was the funniest so she decided to give us a consolation prize! Wasn't that so cool of them?
Tutu : Our prize arrived almost a month ago so we want to apologize to Kjelle Bus and his Mom for the delay in posting about it. Mommy put your Handsome photo on her notice board so we get to see you every day  :)
Tutu : I went straight for the spiky green ball. It's so fun to bat around!
Cosmo : My my, will you lookie at what I found hiding behind this bunny?
Cosmo : It's a little sardine! Actually, I don't like sardines, but this sardine is different
Cosmo : It's a little slippery, though!
Coco : Hey Felix! Look at this. It has your name on it
Meow-Me : YUM! What is it?
I think it says it's cheese?
Felix : Mmmmm. *I* taste really yummy. Heh heh
Coco : Yup, this is really tasty!
Want a taste of Felix, Tutu?
Tutu : ......
Cosmo : My turn, my turn!
Ling : Put nom HERE!
Tutu? Don't you want a taste of Felix?
Tutu : Felix bullies me and I don't like him or anything called Felix. *sulks*
Boomer : I'll eat it for you, Tutu!
Boomer : OMC. Am I seeing things? Is that a FLYING FISH?

Whisky Wednesday

Whisky : Look at this beautiful necklace and pendant with a picture of me! It was a gift from the very talented Mommy of Angel, Isabella and Angel Sadie. Isn't it lovely?
Whisky : See the pretty angel wings? That came with a lovely card and was from Allie, Maxwell, Faraday and their Mom Lisa! Mommy is going to find a way to incorporate it with my pawprints!

And do you see that little figurine? That was MY gift to Mommy - It is called "Best Spuds" and I thought it was good for Mommy to remember the good and fun times we had together  :)
Whisky : We have lots of lovely sunshine at the Bridge
Whisky : And an endless supply of anything we want to eat (and we don't have to worry about getting fat or sick from eating too much!)
Whisky : I am pleased to see how well Tutu is looking after Mommy (she is always by her side just like how I used to be). I'm so proud of her!
Whisky : I do miss hanging out with my furblings but we will all be together again some day...just not anytime soon!
Whisky : It meant a lot to both Mommy and me that you were there to help her through her grief. THANK YOU! Now I'm off to check on the fresh batch of angel jerky treats!

Wordy Wednesday

Whisky : This bag smells yummy
Tutu : It's ME! I smell yummy
Whisky : Since when did you start smelling like cheese?
Whisky : Just lookie at our Christmas treats!
Whisky : No time for photos, Mommy! Let me at that yummy LAMB PIE!
Tutu : That chicken puff is off limits to you, Ling!
Ling : You BRAT!
Ling : Yum YUM! I can't wait to sink my teeth into this delicious chicken puff!
Cosmo : You've got to open your mouth real big if you want to sink your teeth in, Ling! None of those delicate lady like nonsense...
Tutu : I'm not sure if I'm kinda liking this after all...
Tutu prefers bananas and durians to the chicken puff. Lamb is totally not her thing...
Whisky : That lamb pie was DELICIOUS!
Boomer : I second that! Can we have more, please?
Whisky : Pretty please?
We bought the treats from a Pet Bakery called BLINK at a local mall. They make an assortment of healthy treats which the kids (well, except for Tutu - she prefers veggies and fruits) LOVE! Who says healthy treats need to be yuck?  ;)

Happy Belated Birthday, Coco and Felix!

2 weeks after I trapped Meow-Me, she gave birth to Coco and Felix on December 9, 2010
Coco and Felix were to have been adopted and Meow-Me returned to the streets after being neutered, but Ceiling Cat had other plans and so...
This year we celebrate Coco and Felix's 3rd birthday!
Felix : I thought birthday celebrations meant treats?
Coco : Yeah. WHAT is that thing?
Coco : It's coming after me!
Coco : I'm not sure what you are but I'm not sure I like this birthday "present"
Felix : Yikes! It moves on it's own!
Coco : What do you think we should do, Felix?
Felix : Oh oh...
Felix : I can't believe this. We waited a WHOLE YEAR to celebrate our birthday only to be chased around by this wierd ball with a furry thing attached
Coco : Major FAIL, Mommy!
The Birthday Twins got their birthday treats after their encounter with the scary moving ball.  :) We are a week late in posting this Birthday post but they did have lots of fun on their actual birthday.

Happy Belated Birthday, Coco and Felix!

Tutu Tuesday

Cosmo : Mommy lured us in here with those yummy bonito flakes...but why? Why is there a table covered with a towel? Something smells fishy and I don't mean the bonito flakes!
Ling : I don't like this one bit!
Tutu : Why are the both of you grumbling? I see nothing wrong and this towel smells just like Whisky!
I made an appointment with a vet to do a house call and vaccinate all the kitties
Tutu : I thought you said someone was coming to give us treats, Mommy? Where's this mysterious person?

Tutu : We've been stuck in here for the last 2 hours! All the talk of treats has made me hungry!
Tutu : HUNGRY, Mommy, HUNGRYYYYY!
Tutu : Good Cod! Were you lying to us, Mommy? There's no sign of the mysterious person!
Tutu : Oh well, I'll just practice toesie flirting. Is it working?
After waiting for 2.5 hours, I finally allowed the cats out. Guess the vet didn't want my business (this is my THIRD attempt with this vet). After all, it's *just* 7 cats, right? But a call would have been appreciated.

Everyone has had their complete kitten shots while Meow-Me and Boomer had their vaccination as adults. I did a little more research on vaccinations and I am inclined to believe they do not require boosters as their risk of exposure is almost zero since they are totally indoor cats. Rabies shots are not compulsory here.
Vaccinations can be a controversial topic so it is always best to speak with a vet to get their input. But it is just as important to do your own research on the risks and benefits of vaccinations. :)

What do you kitties think about having a vet do house calls? Especially kitties who aren't fond of strange people. I am pretty divided on this as on the one paw, having the vet come to the house would reduce the stress of traveling. On the other paw, being prodded and manipulated in what is deemed their "safe place" may be even more stressful. What do you think?
