Friday Fun

Boomer : This package smells very interesting. Who is it from?
It's from Allie, Maxwell and Faraday!
We had won the Black Friday giveaway on A Tonk's Tail
Tutu : Hey Faraday! What do you think of my Christmas collar? Doesn't it go really well with my Tortie furs?
Ooops...what happened to you, Tutu?
Tutu : Huh? I'm just rolling around in this super smelling Nip Nibbler!
Cosmo : Ahhhhhhh. I could just lay like this all day
Tutu : I don't think so!
Ling : This Nip Nibbler is really intoxicating. Such bliss
Errrr, Ling? There's a different kind of Nibbler behind you...
Tutu : Stop hogging the Nibblers! Faraday sent them to ME!
Ling : It was addressed to ALL of us! BRAT!
Cosmo : Ohhhh....will you two stop shouting? My head hurts...
Boomer : And while they are busy squabbling.....heh heh
Cosmo : Nip Nib Nibberrrrrr!
Tutu : No one is going to take you away from me....
Ling : It should be called a Nip Roller!
Ling : Hey. Where did YOU come from?
Ling : These Nibblers are lots and lots of fun!
Thank you, Allie, Maxwell, Faraday and Mom Lisa for the pawsome package! As you can see, we had TONS of fun with the Nip Nibblers. Mommy played the music CD for us and found that it's purrfect for HER to wind down after having to deal with us all day. MOL!

Happy Belated Gotcha Day, Meow-Me!

This was Meow-Me when I caught her on November 20, 2010
She was HUGE!
But yet so thin and had very bad skin and fur. She gave birth to Coco and Felix 2 weeks later, battled Mastitis and it took a long time to fix her skin and fur but it was all worth it because.....
Look at her today!
This picture makes me laugh!
Meow-Me : I'm coming over, so get your hands ready for a petting session!
*scratch scratch scratch*
Meow-Me : Ahhhhhhhhhh
Meow-Me : If you whap my butt at the right spot, I start licking the floor. Tee hee
HAPPY BELATED GOTCHA DAY, Meow-Me! We love you, your cute round shape (despite whatever diet I put you on) and your raspy Marge Simpson meows!

Whisky : We won a giveaway on Twinkletoe Tails for a pack of Trading Cards from Just4MyPet. We had an emergency meeting to see who got to be on the cards and of course it was going to be ME! Silly kitties
Whisky : The cards were sent out very quickly after we placed the order and it arrived 2 weeks later (which is normal for mail coming from the US). Doesn't it look great? I sat with Mommy to choose the pictures and the design template. What do you think?
Cosmo, Ling and Tutu are back to their usual self and are spending the days hanging out together in my office while we wait for Boomer to make a full recovery (yes, the poor boy caught the bug on Nov 16) which shouldn't be long now (he's finally gotten past the worst bit).

It's been 24 days since Stinky fell ill and the kids caught the bug one after the other. I'm glad it's finally going to be over. We'll be coming over to visit so, see you guys soon! We've missed everyone!

Something New, Something Won

Ling loves this little cat tree but it was getting rather wobbly and she's ripped up the bottom rope pole. So.....
I bought a new, and hopefully more durable cat tree for them to look out to the back alley. As expected, Miss Tutu was the first one to check out the tree
Followed by Cosmo
Ling wasn't quite sure what to think of this new tree
Ling : Maybe I'll feel better after I mark the tree...
Ling : That's a much higher jump than my old tree!
Ling : Ooooohhhh. The view is pretty good at this height
Cosmo : You could have jumped up to the middle platform first, you know...
Cosmo : Hmm.  I wonder if this thing can hold my weight?
Ling : Ahhhhhh. This is a much larger platform for me to lay down
Ling : Look! I can even scratch when I'm upside down!
....or while on one side of my butt...
....or even with 3 paws up!
Ling : Not bad, Mommy, not bad at all
Tutu : "Famous Cats Of The Internet". I knew it! I'm FAMOUS!
Sorry baby girl...
Tutu : WHAT?
Tutu : I can't believe they didn't have me in there! *BITE*
We won this deck of cards during a giveaway at Cat Chat with Cody and Caren. The cards are too pretty to be played with, though!  :)
Thank you so much, Cody and Caren!

Guess What Came In The Mail Recently?

Mommy had been looking around for "Cat Daddy" by Jackson Galaxy but the book has yet to hit the local bookshelves just yet. Then she read about the giveaway by Allie, Faraday and Maxwell.....

Guess what arrived in the mail recently?

We won the giveaway!
A copy of Cat Daddy, courtesy of A Tonk's Tail....(err....Tale...)
And it was AUTOGRAPHED by Jackson Galaxy himself!
Thank you so much, Allie, Faraday, Maxwell and Mom Lisa! Mommy is really happy as she loves My Cat From Hell and now she gets to read about how it all started.

Boomer and Felix spying on the squirrels in the garden next door
Boomer : See, Grandpa? No problem for us (well, ME) to get up and move about on the top perch
How many kitties can you see?
Boomer and Coco love being on the top perch. Everyone's happy and relax, hanging out at the catio
This picture makes me laugh. Daddy just got home and they thought he was some monster (he was pulling his luggage and it made horrible rumbling sounds against the driveway)
Coco : This is how we enter and exit the catio. As you can see, Grandpa made some changes to the original mosquito netting to accommodate an entrance
We decided to get a large cat tree and have a catio built because of what we learnt from Jackson Galaxy on My Cat From Hell. And we can very quickly see how happy the cats are with the new additions. Boomer will spend almost all day in the catio and as soon as I open the door to their room, he comes charging from the catio to flop at my feet, almost like he's saying thank you. Then off he goes right back to the catio. Meow-Me and Ling are still a little reluctant to go in on their own but once I put them inside, they are okay. I wonder what's up with that?

Now, question. How do I increase Bird and Squirrel TV? The cats can't extend their paws out of the netting so it's very safe for birds and squirrels. What food can I use and what plants can I plant? The weather here is hot and humid...
