Thankful Thursday

Boomer : You see me, right? There's no need to get all puffy again. Hee hee

Tutu : You're not going to let that go, are you?

Tutu : SURPRISE! Let's see if YOU get all puffy!

Boomer : Silly kid. I don't scare easily. I'm a big Mancat!
Sigh. When is the haze going away?

Cosmo : I don't even want to look out the window. It's depressing

Boomer : Yeah. The haze is really depressing

Boomer : Hey guys. You hear that? It's RAINING! 

Ahhhhhhhh. Time out in the catio, breathing in lovely, fresh air!
Boomer : Katie, I'll be firing up the tunnel once Mommy packs up our treats. See you soon!

The sky has never looked more beautiful. Hopefully the haze is behind us and we won't have to stay locked up indoors

Tutu Tuesday

Boomer : *jumps in suddenly from the catio* HI TUTU!!!!!!
Tutu : !!!!!!!!

Boomer : What's wrong with you?
Tutu : !!!!!!!!

Boomer : Hey, Tutu. It's me, Boomer!
Tutu : AIYEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Don't come near me!

Boomer : Look! I'm on the ground, okay? I didn't mean to scare you

Tutu : ME? Scared? Why would you think that? I'm cool, I'm calm, I was just walking over to play with my Turbo Track

Tutu : Yup, just cool and calm me playing with my Turbo Track

These pictures were taken before the haze and access to the catio still possible. It rained this evening (thank you everyone for purring for rain!) but unfortunately, not heavy or long enough to wash away the haze. But it did clear the air a little. :)

Sunday Suffering

This was the air quality just before 12pm. The sun can't get through the thick haze / smog / smoke that's coming from the fires at a neighboring country (google : *Haze in Malaysia Singapore* if you would like to know more)

Coco : Why is the sliding door closed?
Shutting the windows leading to the catio couldn't keep the haze out so I had to shut the sliding door too

Boomer : It looks pretty bad out there
And it smells awful too!

Felix : When can we go out again, Mommy?
It all depends on the wind direction and if we get rain. It may take weeks to months before this clears up

Boomer : So what are we supposed to do till then?!
Don't worry kids, I'll think of something  :)

Boomer : I'm not happy. Why do people have to resort to burning acres of land just to save some money!? At least we have an indoor home but what about our friends out in the open? 

Tutu : Boomer sounds pretty mad, huh. Think I'll stay upstairs, out of his way

Whisky : I can't even go outside to inspect my garden. Mommy brought me outside for 5 mins and my eyes started to water like crazy
I went out to water my plants and ended up with itchy skin, teary and itchy eyes which ended up getting very swollen and runny nose. And the air really stinks too

This is the current haze situation in Malaysia. The Air Pollutant Index is at the "unhealthy" range where we are. Heavy, non stop rain is what we need but that is unlikely until around August / September.

Wild Wednesday

Boomer : Mr Rat is back! Let me at him! I'm not done with him yet
Felix : Watch out, Boomer. He still has his teeth!

Boomer : He smells different....a very nommy kind of different

Mr Rat : 'scuse me! All that powder has made my nose itchy

Coco : The powder you have on is intoxicating

Mr Rat : Aiyeeeeeeeeee!
Boomer : HAH! Got your tail, finally! Not so brave now, are we?

Meow-Me : You are very big and intimidating, Mr Rat. I'm not sure I want to play with you

Meow-Me : I prefer my mice to be small and furry!

Felix : Don't cry, Mr Rat. I'll play with you

Tutu Tuesday

Tutu : That smells...interesting

Tutu : What is it, Mommy?
It's a banana

Tutu : How do I eat  it?

Tutu : Yummmmm!

Tutu : I'm not sure what to think of this. It smells weird but yet, so yummy!
PS/ Tutu really DOES EAT bananas. She licks it for starters then she takes big bites of it. LOL

Friday Fun

Boomer : Hello Mouse, uh, Rat. Nice to meet you

Boomer : Interesting tail you have there

Mr Rat : DON'T TOUCH MY TAIL
Boomer : Touchy touchy!
Mr Rat : Don't mess with me, Cat. I have big teeth and I'm not afraid to use them!

Boomer : Hah. I'll sharpen my claws and teach Mr Rat a lesson

Boomer : Here I come, Rat!

Mr Rat : I dare you!
Boomer : See! I'm big and tall. And look how big my paws are and the sharp razor claws I have!

Mr Rat : Come on then, give it your best shot!
Boomer : Dang. He DOES have big teeth!

Boomer : Maybe I need to think of a new strategy

Boomer : Hee hee. His teeth don't scare me now

*comes to screeching halt*

Boomer : WILL YOU KEEP YOUR TEETH IN YOUR MOUTH!?

Boomer : I can do this. I can whap this awful thing Mommy brought home
