Mashed chicken meat with some veggies. No grains |
Ready to be served |
I add some oats to Whisky's portion. She LOVES it |
Ling doesn't really mind it |
Meow-me tucking in. I hope giving her homecooked meals can help bring her weight down |
Felix |

Boomer |
Cosmo : You want me to eat *that*? Really? |
I had expected resistance from Cosmo as he isn't into *human* food. So was pleasantly surprised when he finished everything |
Ling didn't finish her portion so I had put it on the stairs for her. This is what I saw when I came back... |
Portions to be placed in the fridge and freezer |
This is White White. His eyes are much better but will remain with me for at least another week to finish the medicine. He's quite the sweetheart and loves scritches |

Well done. So proud of you!
I feel like I should! Look how much they enjoy it!
Awww !!!! You guys are so good furry kids !
Eat what you been served ! Mom hope I can do that, I'm fuzzy you know ?
and MOL for Whisppy ; )
Yes Yes YES I have cooked for my critters for years!!! All my critters!!! Happy cat is the hardest to cook for!!! Happy is on her last legs ( I think). I have cooked mostly chicken but sometimes chicken livers. Lean ground sirloin and always with vegetables.
So happy to be back!!!

This is wonderful. I don't home cook, mainly because of time but also because everything I've read about it seems so confusing and makes me unsure if I'd be doing it correctly. They talk about having a meat grinder and having some bone for a proper calcium ratio and so forth. I kind of like your idea of doing it for just one meal. You cook the chicken and then shred it? Do you have a recipe?
I love that first picture of Cosmo. Too funny. Whisky reminds me of Lucy there. Also, I'm surprised to see White White so docile. Do you think there's any chance of placing him in a home?
How very, very yummy...and I love that resolution!
I do!!
Dachshund Nola and her Mommy
White White looked as though he was thoroughly enjoying his chicken. I cook chicken for Hannah and she loves it if I cut it up in bite sized pieces. (Lucy won't eat anything other than cat food)
That looks like great food. Now we need the recipe. I have never tried cooking for the cats and dogs here. I really can't afford to do it. But would be interested in the recipe. It looks really good. And it is really healthy for all of them too.
What ever happened to the black cat?? Take care.
That looks REALLY good! I need to talk to Beth!
I am astonished, I have to say it again, by your amazing dedication, you really teach me a beautiful lesson about devotion and love. I also home cook sometimes, I use rice, cereals, milk and meat soup. They all love it, cats and dogs...even chickens :))). KIsses and a whole lotta love :).
Wow I don't even home cook for myself, much less for my dog! You are so sweet to do that, and you know they are well feed and getting the nutrition they need! You have a very kind heart! :)

That food looks pretty tasty! Our mom doesn't cook for us...unless you call opening a can cooking! But she does feed us premium no-grain foods, so it's almost as good.
Our mom does not cook for us but she would like to someday when she has more time to do it right.
OMC--just look at white-white! He looks sooooo happeez. You have really saved this little guy....no wonder he lubs you!
Uh, Boomie...we have a new girl to meet soon, you know. Of course we will both be purrfect gentlemen with the New Little Tuxie ;-)
I used to do that for my very first cat, she only ate chicken liver mixed with bread, mixed with rice, mixed with potatoes and she lived for 20 years. She never ate can food for the simple reason that it didn't exist !!
Then can food came up and all my other cats had can food. Since about 10 years sudddenly the dry food came out. Our vet said it's not good for the kidneys so I never gave dry food. But then I got the cats from my son, one only eats dry food one only can food so I have both. Dry food stands there the bowl always filled, can food I give morning and evening but there are only two who eat it. Arthur and Kim. Pookie and Rosie only eat dry food. It's a real cat restaurant here.
I am far too lazy for cooking now even for the both of us humans, lol !
It's great to see everybody enjoying what you prepared. Julie says..I never tried it for my cats, but I'm open to anything for my babies. It's probably good to be consistent, though and I don't know if I can keep up with it. Mitty is eating both the big boy dry food (he hated the kitten dry) and canned food by the ton! Homecooked does look so good and I'm sure it's good for them, too, esp. since you give them supplements.
