Tortie Tutu Thursday

Tutu is now 9.5 weeks old and I took her to the vet for her first vaccination on Wednesday. She had a lot to say about her first vet visit.

This is Dong Dong, the clinic cat who decided he wanted sleep in MY carrier
And I had to sit here instead
Then I came to sit here, minding my own business, calmly waiting for my turn when suddenly....
Eeeep! Get off me! GET OFF ME!
As you can see, I was NOT amused by Dong Dong's ungentlemanly behavior
She was very brave and took the jab very well. She was also given a paste dewormer
GO AWAY! I'm hurting everywhere and it's all your fault.  I hate you!
About 2 hours later, she was very angry, probably because the injection site started to hurt
Come, let's go to sleep. You'll feel better later
DON'T TOUCH ME!
I put her back in her cage to sleep and she was much happier later that night
She is the first kitty I had who became so angry and aggressive after a vaccination jab so I was a little concerned. But she's back to her normal self today and playing again.

Yeah, well, we're never happy when being poked and prodded by a v-e-t, either. :-P

We're glad she's back to normal now, though. She must have an extra high level of tortitude. LOL.

She is so beautiful and precious and tiny. Poor little Tutu must endure the vaccination. Admiral, also a Tortie of course, was miserable after vaccinations. She wasn't angry just sick feeling and hid for several days. made me feel terrible. I will see how Katie is in August when she goes for hers again. Maybe Torties are more delicate. :-) Looking at Tutu makes me smile. I wish I could hold her. xoxoxoxox

Tutu is a feisty little one - we loved the picture (last but one) of her with the paws all ready to give you a good whapping!!
We hope she is feeling calmer today.

I'm sorry Dong Dong took your carrier and pounced on you.. not to mention the needle jabby thing..

(you should probably mention her reaction to the vaccines to your vet.. always good to have that sort of thing on record)

How sweet she is! The Girl always felt a little icky after her shots, so it probably was just that. We love little torties! We have a family tradition of having "Minnie" as part of every tortie's name.

Brave Tutu! King Spitty confers upon you the title of Chancillur ub teh Relm, Tortie Kitten Division. The position entitles you to all the noms you can eat, all the toys you can play with, all the hands you can injure wif ur tiny claws, and the right to go back in a few months and whap the cr@p out of that Dong-Dong.

I think torties tend to be very opinionated kitties. Of course, getting jabbed and poked wouldn't help my disposition much, either!

FaradaY: POOR Tutu! You were very very brave and it's completely and totally understandable that you would be a teensy bit out of sorts - since those needles are ginormous! RILLY!

Poor little Tutu. I had the vet jab today & they took some of my blood away from me. It's no fun for a big brave dog like me & Tutu is just a baby!

Darling Tutu, The Human keeps coming back here to stare at you. I think I'm actually getting a little jealous!

GLOGIRLY said...

Tutu, those humans just don't get your Tortie attitude! You just show them who's boss. With your cuteness, they'll be putty in your paw.

Poor baby she said I did not like that!! I'll love you if you never do that again --- but when it is time again to go to the vets--- look out!!!!

Henry's human said...

Poor baby. Henry, Otto and Vivika do not like vet visits either. Sometimes humans just don't get it!

haopee said...

LOL. So hilarious. Poor Tutu. I know how it feels. My bigger dogs don't have issues with vaccinations but Peanuts had to endure little vaccine lumps for a couple of days which made her a little cranky.

I like your box, Tutu.
