Last Monday morning, November 19, 2012, I gave Bernie his favorite veggies for breakfast which he was interested in, giving me hope. But watching him struggle to eat them made me realize it was indeed time. So I cuddled him and told him Daddy and I loved him dearly (Daddy was away on a business trip).
The vet was very busy that morning so we went to the back and cuddled. I had him in my arms as the vet helped Bernie hop off to the Rainbow Bridge, whole and well once again. His physical passing was very peaceful.
I brought him home and called the guy who does the cremations. He was cremated that very night and his ashes returned the next day.

our previous post about Bernie. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers very much. We miss Bernie, especially when we see his favorite veggies and bananas...but we know he's now having a grand time at the Rainbow Bridge along with his pals. We love you, Bernie!

We are so sorry and know you will miss Bernie very much. However it was the kindest gift to give him and he is whole again now and doing his best bunny jumps on Rainbow Bridge.

OMD, we're so sorry to read that your dear Bernie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge just as my brother crossed. Perhaps they will meet and become great furiends.
That's the best decision you could take for him ! it's so sad, but at least he didn't suffer. I like the idea of urns as memory ! Our pets are all burried in our garden in a litte graveyard.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Looppy, Manny, Mr Brown, and Bernie must be having a wonderful reunion party.
We are so sad, but know he is better off where is he. We are purring for all his loved ones left behind. He had a great life and home, so he was a very lucky bunny. We hope knowing how much he was loved is a comfort to you.
