Soaking Saturday

Whisky : Oh no no no no no!
Whisky : OH NOES!
* S I G H *
Whisky : Hey, TREAT!
Whisky : Errrr, Daddy? Do you mind bringing the treat nearer? I can't move
Daddy : Of course you can move, just take a step forward
Whisky : Oka...uggg
Whisky : Why are you laughing, Mommy?
Whisky : There goes that treat again. Darn it!
Whisky : I know! I'll go on reverse and back up to the treat
Daddy : Silly girl. I'll guide you to the treat, okay?
Whisky : Won't it be much easier if you just guided your hand with the treat toward my mouth?
Whisky : That's it. I'm going to lay down, close my eyes and when I open them, this would all be just a bad dream
Whisky : Oh CRAP
Tutu : What is going on down there?
Whisky : Call the SPCA, Tutu. Mommy and Daddy are trying to drown me
Mommy : Why are you sticking your bum so high up?
Whisky : I don't want a wet bum!
Whisky : FINALLY!
Whisky : Can you stop taking my pictures? I am nekkid!
Mommy : Okay, sweetie. Time for a bath
Whisky : WHAT!? *THAT* wasn't a bath? I hope effuryone is having a much better Saturday!

This is our first attempt at Water Physiotherapy to strengthen her hind legs. There should have been a little more water so it reached her tummy but we thought we'll just let her experience being partly submerged in water. She wasn't very willing to walk in the water but we'll keep trying!

Whisky - you look a bit of the drowned rat but if it helps you it's worth it!

Great pictures. Poor Whisky. But I bet she will get used to it soon. She might even enjoy it. Maybe just the running around after wards will help her gain some strength in her back legs. Take care. Have a great day.

Oh poor Whisky. I think you should tell your mom and dad that you don't need to be submerged. You're not a submarine!
Charlie
P.S: You still have the best ears in the business. I think I'm in love with them! Ahhhhhh!

Oh no Whisky - you'd better come live with me - you won't get tortured quite as much over here. M says she'd give you a couple of more treats anyway. he he I'm glad I'm a cat and give myself a baff!

Whisky your mommy and daddy are working so hard to help you. I think you'll (hopefully) adapt to the water soon. Maybe you'll even like it and then hopefully it will also help your pain.

Tutu, LOL!

Your mommy and daddy needs to get in a pool with you! Doggies have much more fun in water with their humans ;)

Whisky, our mommy giggled but we felt sorry for you! We wouldn't want to get our bum wet either! We hope the water therapy does work though!

Whisky, you keep trying, even though we know you don't like it much. The rehab vet that Ernie has seen does water physiotherapy on woofies...and kitties! Fortunately, Ernie hasn't had to do the water therapy. But it really helps the animals that get it.

That was a great first session, Whisppy! Your Mom and Dad love you so much. :)

Aw, poor little Whisky. I hope she gets used to the water. TW's heart was breaking for her.

Spitty-the-Kitty said...

Poor Whisky! And those poor Peeps trying to get you to walk toward the treats! Yes, Whisky it WOULD be so much simpler for them to just give you the treat! You should get all the treats you want, sweet girl. But Whisky--most woofies lubs the water--what's up with you?

I bet that mean Tutu didn't call the SPCA for you either.

Doing great, Whisky. You're soooo cute... Like a super white jellyfish struggling to float. Treats aren't coming your way anytime soon with that water thing.

Nerissa said...

I sure do hope that never happens to me. Cats and water do NOT mix. Did you like it at all? Maybe just a smidge? I've heard that dogs sometimes do.

Purrs,
Nissy

Eww, Whiskey you are in the water. We don't like to get wet you know. But we hear the water will help make you stronger and that's a good thing.

Queen of Asia, huh Tutu? That's pretty ambitious. Even I am only King of California and the Western Lands. I don't think I can go around giving away whole huge continents (especially when they're not even really mine). Tell you what--maybe you could have Chinatown in SF? It's kind of a small neighborhood, but you could have a WHOLE lot of fun there. It's just FULL of food.

Sushi said...

You're so cute whisky. Keep trying that excercise. It'll do you good.

Oh, yes, Chinatown is on the map, squeezed between the Financial District and Nob Hill in the upper right quadrant. It may be geographically small, but it is densely populated, with shops and restaurants lining every block! Now, see, I only suggested it because you seemed to want all of Asia. But if you're interested in a larger neighborhood, you might consider South Beach, Park Merced or Potrero Hill which are all still available.

Whisky you are very cute! Huge purrs that the water therapy will help you get better.

We were thinking that must b some kind of PT. Poor Whiskey. After that, there was still bath time! We sure hope lots more treats were given out. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Joe
