Boomer Has Much To Celebrate

Not only is this award deliciously filled with nippy mice, it was also given to ME, Boomer, by my beautiful Sweetheart, Katie Isabella.

I am to tell you who gave me the award : Thank you, Darling Katie!

Boomer : I may have had a rough start in life, but I sure have loads to celebrate today!
And also tell everyone something I want to celebrate : There's so much but most of all, I want to celebrate having my very own family,  both humans and fursiblings AND the love of my life, Katie. Since being rescued from the streets, life has been nothing but one celebration after another. And for that, I will forever be grateful.

Now I'm supposed to pass this on to one to twelve furriends. I know a lot of our furriends have received this award so for those who haven't, please feel free to take it and tell us what you want to celebrate!

Cosmo's Hammick

Hi Everyone! It's me, Cosmo. I am rarely on the blog because I can't stand the flashy box but I just had to do this post. You see, I have observed how some of my furriends have this thing called a "hammick" that gets rave reviews. So I asked Mommy to show pictures of it to Grandpa and tell him how I would love to have one of my own.....

Cosmo : It's a little small for a big mancat like me, but it sure is comfy
See how I have to squish my body to fit?
Let me show you the length with my body. It measures from my shoulder to the tip of my paw and a little bit
*Grandpaws loves me
this I know
for he made me a comfy hammick!*
A BIG THANK YOU to Grandpa and Grandma for making this hammick just for me!
I love it!

Tutu Thursday

ZzZzzzZZzzz
She used to have one white whisker and when it fell off, this white eyebrow emerged
*WHAT*?
Tutu : Will you please go away? I'm trying to sleep
ZZZzzzzZZzZzzz
Tutu : Eeeeep! Go away!
Ling : My goodness. Can you keep that snoring down a notch? Jeez
The monsoon season is here which means lots of rain, wind and cooler weather. Tutu can be found snoozing in this little "cave" very often but that doesn't mean she's any less rambunctious!

Dona Nobis Pacem

Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace)

Picture of PEACE
Boomer and Coco are not best friends but they accept that they are who they are and respect each other's space. And so there is peace
This is our first time participating in the Blog Blast for Peace and Mommy has no idea how to decorate our globe with our beautiful selves. But since we wanted to participate, she decided to put up a picture of us instead. Hope that's okay!

Peace is not about loving everyone. It's not about making everyone have the same values and believes as ourselves. Peace is about accepting and respecting that other living beings have a right to live (humans and animals) and believe in what they want. If this can be achieved, then no one will want to hurt each other and then there will be world peace. Sounds so simple....yet so difficult.  :)

Tutu : Dishy Darling. You will always be my special first love
Mommy here :

We're sorry for having "disappeared" the last week or so. There was an accident last Friday involving Dino, our tortoise. She was rushed to our vet who was, thankfully able to fix her. She has to go back to the vet for antibiotic jabs every 2 days until the vet is convinced she has no risk of infection. She has been eating very well and doing really good. It will take months before her shell heals completely, but the important thing is that she'll make a full recovery (the accident missed her internal organs). Incidentally, it was also her 14th Gotcha Day last Friday so, HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, DINO! We're so thankful you're with us today.

We miss everyone very much so we're not going to waste any time. Get ready, for the Furries of Whisppy will be knocking at your blog doors very soon!

Crazy Few Days

Sorry for having been so quiet lately. Mommy has been to and fro the vet since Sunday. Thankfully, NONE of us were dragged along. We'll let Mommy explain.

Mommy here :
Long story short, I have been spending a lot of time with my friend at the vet, keeping vigil over her cat who was in very bad condition with suspected poisoning since Saturday. Sadly, despite the best efforts, the cat passed away today, Tuesday evening. We were with him right till the end.

Till today, we have no idea what poison he could have ingested and how. He was a stray cat that appeared in my friend's life about a month ago. She had him neutered and was about to get him vaccinated before bringing him indoors to join her cat family. Then this happened.

We do not know if he was intentionally poisoned by people who are not tolerant of animals but I have some things to say to people who think that poison is the way to "get rid of the problem". Poisoning is a terrible way to end a life. Especially a life of an innocent animal who does not know he's not allowed on your car or that the grass in your garden is different from the grass outside where he does his potty or for just being born a rat. There are humane ways of keeping them away instead of resorting to poison or pesticides or weedkillers. The suffering the animal has to go through after being poisoned is just plain awful. And death is not instant. It takes days....days of pain and endless suffering. Please. No animal INTENTIONALLY does things to annoy humans. Just shoo them away if they do things you do not like. As for rats, well, keep drains clean and garbage in properly closed cans. I could go on and on but I shall stop here.

Run free, Bosco, and fear no pain or suffering because the Rainbow Bridge has none of that.

We will be back to regular posting and commenting tomorrow, Wednesday. Thank you for letting me vent.

Meow-Me And Da Bird

Meow-Me : *pat pat pat*
Tutu : GOTCHA!
Meow-Me : For Cod's sake. That's not how you play with Da Bird!
Tutu : I'll play anyway I like!
Meow-Me : Jeez
Meow-Me : *tsk tsk tsk*
Okay Meow-Me, I'll remove Tutu. Now you show us the "right" way to play with Da Bird
Meow-Me : First you stalk it.....
....then calculate the distance, making sure you keep your ears flat so Da Bird can't see them....
...calm the heart, take a deep breath......
.......JUMP and GRAB!

Tutu's Leap Into The Weekend

Tutu : Leaping into the weekend!
Tutu : Okay, okay. So it's a basin and not the weekend. But don't you just love my form?
Tutu : Grandma says I have a grumpy look. Well, YOU would be grumpy too if you had to wait 862 hours for ONE little treat
